Project Profile:

The Japanese Highly Skilled Professional (or ‘高度専門職ビザ’ in Japanese) is an upgraded version of the Management Visa, and is a status of residence created by the Japanese government in order to attract highly educated and highly skilled foreign human resources to Japan to contribute to the development of Japan's economy and the vitality of the country. In order to promote the attraction of high-level foreign human resources, the Japanese government introduced a points system. The aim of the programme is to attract foreigners with extensive management experience to start or manage businesses in Japan. You can apply if your own conditions meet the scoring requirements. You will be granted a 5-year residence visa, and you can apply for permanent residence in as little as 1 year.

Application Requirements:

1. Aged 18 or above.
2. Have at least 3 years or more experience in business management.
3. Registered capital in Japan is at least 5 million yen (approximately RMB 300,000) and annual turnover is at least 4 million yen (approximately RMB 240,000).
4. There are real and fixed office premises.
5. Individuals in Japan earn at least 3 million yen (approximately 180,000 RMB) per year.
6. The applicant has not committed any illegal or disciplinary offences during his/her stay in Japan.

Naturalisation/permanent residence conditions:

1. You can apply for naturalisation after 5 years of continuous residence.
2. Apply for permanent residence 1 year after attaining 80 points / Apply for permanent residence 3 years after attaining 70 points.
