Hong Kong

Hong Kong is situated on the north coast of the South China Sea, adjacent to the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province along the Shenzhen River in the north and Macao and Zhuhai across the Pearl River in the west. Located at the southern tip of Mainland China, Hong Kong is at the centre of the western Pacific Ocean, and is also the main shipping hub of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. With its unique geographical location and excellent harbour conditions, Hong Kong has become an important hub for East-West trade. Its free market economy and low tax policy have attracted many international enterprises and investors, and it is one of the few ‘free port cities’ in the world, with the entire Hong Kong area open to trade, whereas most other free ports in the world are ‘free port zones’, i.e., only the area around the port is used as a free port.

Hong Kong's cultural diversity is rooted in its historical background, blending Chinese and Western cultures to form a unique social landscape. Whether in terms of cuisine, arts or festivals, Hong Kong has demonstrated its rich cultural charms. In addition, Hong Kong's excellent education system and healthcare services make it an ideal place to live for residents and expatriates alike.
