CIIP – Kava Subsidy Support 

Project Description

In order to promote Vanuatu's economic development and to attract high quality new immigrants, in February 2024, the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu, pursuant to Section 13C of the Nationality Act, Chapter 112, promulgated the Capital Investment Immigration Scheme Amendment Act No. 39 of 2024, which enacted the Kava Grant Support Scheme Act under the Capital Investment Immigration Scheme (CIES). According to paragraph C of the Bylaw in section 2(2) of the Amendment Act No. 39 of 2024, an applicant who wishes to become a naturalised citizen of Vanuatu may invest US dollar capital in a project designated by the Government to support the development of Kava, and the applicant will be granted citizenship of Vanuatu upon approval of the application by the Citizenship Committee and payment of the relevant application fee to the Government.

Application Requirements

• Applicants need to be at least 18 years old
• Applicants should not have any criminal record
• The applicant's personal assets must be US$250,000 or more.
• Applicants are required to make an investment of not less than US$100,000 in a Vanuatu donation project.
