About the Region

Alberta, or AB for short, is one of the three Prairie Provinces of Canada, and one of only two provinces in Canada that are not bordered by the sea.AB is located in Western Canada, bordered by Saskatchewan to the east, Montana to the south, and British Columbia to the west.

Project Description

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is an immigration program run by the government of Alberta through which qualified applicants can obtain a provincial nomination to expedite the process of obtaining permanent resident status in Canada. Candidates must have a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), in addition to other residency requirements, occupational requirements, language requirements, education requirements, work experience requirements, and AB job offer requirements.

Application Requirements

1. Possession of legal residence status：Applicants must currently live or work in Alberta and have valid temporary resident status (e.g., a valid work permit)
2. Occupational Requirements: Applicants should be engaged in eligible occupations that match their previous work experience and are not on the list of unqualified occupations.
3. Language Requirements: NOC TEER 0/1/2/3 occupations need to reach CLB/NCLC 5, TEER 4/5 occupations need to reach CLB/NCLC 4, and nurses, healthcare assistants, etc. need to reach CLB/NCLC 7.
4. Academic Requirements: At least a Canadian high school diploma is required. Overseas applicants must be accredited.
5. Work Experience Requirements: Applicants need to be working in an occupation that is consistent with the occupation for which the job application is being made, and have at least 24 months of full-time work experience in the past 30 months.
6. Have a permanent full-time job: Applicants need to be employed full-time by an eligible AB employer in a position with a positive LMIA result.

Application Process

1. Get a free assessment with one of our professional consultants and sign a service agreement
2. Conduct job matching and interviews with employers
3. If the job is suitable, obtain a job offer from the employer.
4. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through AB's online system indicating the applicant's intent to apply for the AAIP.
5. Eligible applicants will receive an Invitation to Apply from the Provincial Government of AB.
6. Prepare and submit complete application documents according to the invitation requirements, including proof of education, work experience, language proficiency, etc.
7. Upon approval, the applicant will receive a provincial nomination for AB.
8. After obtaining the provincial nomination, submit an application for permanent residence to the Canadian federal government and undergo a medical examination and background check.
9. Waiting for your application to be approved for Canadian Permanent Resident status.
