The full name of the Ontario Employer Sponsored Immigration Program is ‘Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream’. It is an important category of Ontario's nominee immigration policy, designed to assist employers in recruiting and retaining qualified foreign skilled workers with the required skills.

Application Process:

• Employer Screening: Ontario employers first select qualified applicants and agree to support their application for permanent residence.

• Filing an application: An immigration application can be filed with the federal government after a joint application by the employer and the applicant has been approved by the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Application Requirements:

• Educational Requirement: Applicants should possess tertiary education or above.

• Working experience: 2 years of highly relevant working experience in the past 5 years.

• English Language Requirement: IELTS is not required for the Provincial Nomination stage, but you need to meet the Occupational English Language Requirement for the Work Permit stage.

• Occupation: The job applied for must belong to TEER 0/1/2/3.

• Scoring Requirements: Ontario EOI scores need to meet the minimum requirements of the Invitation Score.

• Employer Guarantee: The applicant needs to be guaranteed by an Ontario employer and receive co-operation and assistance from the employer.

IELTS requirements:

According to the new rules in February 2022, applicants will be required to complete their Ontario registration within 10 months after being nominated by the province. When applying for a work visa, it is recommended to have IELTS score to meet the work requirements.
