Hong Kong Pathway ( Stream A & Stream B)

Project Description

Hong Kong Pathway, Canada's special immigration policy for Hong Kong people, provides eligible Hong Kong residents with the opportunity to become permanent residents of Canada. The programme consists of two main channels, namely Stream A and Stream B. The programme is administered by the Canadian Immigration Department (CID) and the Hong Kong Immigration Department (HKID).

Stream A：Study Abroad Immigration

Stream A is designed for Hong Kong students who have completed their studies in Canada. Applicants need to fulfil the following criteria:

                      ➤ Hold a HKSAR passport or BNO passport;

                      ➤ Completion of studies at a post-secondary college in Canada with at least 50% of the programme completed;

                      ➤ Pass the Canadian Language Proficiency Test (CLB) at CLB Level 5 standard.

Stream B：Work migration

Stream B is available to Hong Kong residents with at least one year of full-time work experience in Canada. Applicants need to fulfil the following criteria:

                      ➤ Hold a HKSAR passport or BNO passport;

                      ➤ Have at least one year of full-time work experience within Canada;

                      ➤ Pass the Canadian Language Proficiency Test at CLB Level 5.

Closing Date

The closing date for applications for the Hong Kong Pathway is 31 August 2026. All applicants must submit an application for permanent resident status for Stream A or Stream B by this date
