Hong Kong Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals (ASMTP)

Project Description

The objective of the Scheme is to attract to Hong Kong a number of outstanding Mainland talents and professionals with recognised qualifications to work in Hong Kong, so as to meet our manpower needs and enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness in the international market. These Mainland talents must possess professional knowledge and skills that are not readily available or accessible locally. The admitted talents must be able to contribute to the daily operation of local enterprises and industries, and be able to contribute to the economic development of Hong Kong. The Scheme is also applicable to the admission of talents from the arts, cultural, sports and catering sectors, with a view to strengthening Hong Kong's position as Asia's world city.

Application Requirements

1. Applicants are aged 18 or above

2. The applicant has a good educational background, technical qualifications or professional competence, and can provide documentary evidence to prove it

3. The applicant has been employed by a Hong Kong company before submitting his/her application to take up a job which is relevant to his/her academic qualifications or working experience and which is difficult to be filled by a local resident

4. The remuneration package of the job should be broadly comparable to that of the local market labour force
