Project Description

Launched by the Hong Kong Government on 28 December 2022, Hong Kong Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) aims to attract to Hong Kong the world's top talents with rich working experience or high academic qualifications, including high-income earners and graduates of the world's top universities. Applicants of the programme do not need to be employed in Hong Kong at the time of application, nor do they need to pass a marking scheme. Applicants are only required to fulfil one of the criteria in Categories A, B or C to be eligible for the programme.

Application Requirements

  1. persons with annual income reaching HK$2.5 million or above, or its equivalent in foreign currency, in the year immediately preceding the date of application (Category A);
  2. degree graduates of the eligible universities with at least three years of work experienceNote 5 over the past five years immediately preceding the date of application (Category B); or
  3. degree graduates of the eligible universities in the past five years immediately preceding the date of application with less than three years of work experience, subject to an annual quota which is to be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis (Category C); however, Category C does not apply to those non-local students who have obtained the undergraduate qualification in a full-time and locally-accredited programme in the HKSAR.

Project Advantage

  1. No need to have a job in Hong Kong, you can obtain a Hong Kong identity first.
    Compared with other Hong Kong work visa programmes, the Highly Talented Person Visa allows applicants to obtain a Hong Kong visa first, so applicants do not need to worry about finding a job in both places and can settle down in Hong Kong.
  2. No restriction on trades or professions, applicants can apply as long as they fulfil any of the criteria.
    There is no restriction on the trades and professions in which an applicant may engage in and the professional fields in which an applicant may study. Applicants can apply for Hong Kong status and become Hong Kong residents as long as they fulfil the requirements of any of the categories.
  3. If one person applies, his/her spouse and children under the age of 18 will be granted Hong Kong status.
    Spouse and children under 18 years of age can apply for entry into Hong Kong as dependants, and will be granted HKSAR permanent resident status after seven years of residence in Hong Kong.
  4. Children with HKSAR Permanent Resident status can apply for the Joint Entrance Examination for Overseas Chinese Students (JEE)
    Children with HKSAR permanent resident status can apply for the Joint Entrance Examination for Overseas Chinese Students (JEE), which will increase their chances of studying in famous universities in China or overseas, and give them a worry-free future.
